Privacy Policy

TCC is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. This privacy policy explains how TCC use the information collected about you, how you can instruct TCC if you prefer to limit the use of that information and procedures that TCC have in place to safeguard your privacy.

(A) HOW INFORMATION TCC COLLECT AND IT IS USED

1. When you access and/or use the TCC website, TCC may request that you provide them with your personal information, including but not limited to your name, address, e-mail address, and telephone number. This is for the sole purpose of registering a user and for transactional purpose. TCC will be responsible and accountable for all personal data so collected.

2. The information you provide TCC may be used by TCC, their agents and/or our sub-contractors to communicate with you on any matter, including without limitation to the information, materials, products and/or services contained and/or referred to in the TCC website. TCC will obtain consent from user should there be a need to use the personal data for a new purpose or for any other purpose not previously identified.

3. The amount and the type of data collected by TCC shall be limited to that which is necessary to fulfill the purposes identified. TCC may use the information you provide for the purpose of monitoring website usage in order to, amongst other things, develop the TCC website, and their services, and TCC may provide such information to third parties.

4. From time to time, TCC may provide your information to their customer service agencies and/or departments for research and/or analysis purposes so that TCC can monitor and improve their products and/or services as the case may be. TCC, their agents and/or sub-contractors, may contact you to ask for your feedback and comments on their products and/or services. TCC will not disclose, share, transfer, sell or rent personally identifiable information to any unauthorized party. TCC does not keep personal data collected from user for longer than is necessary for those purpose for which they are were collected.

8. TCC ensures all users that their personal information collected will be kept up to date and as accurately as possible as submitted by the user online. TCC ensures all users that a request for updates of personal data will only be requested if the update is necessary to fulfill the purpose for which the data was collected.

(B) TCC'S USE OF COOKIES

9. A cookie is a message given to a web browser by a web server. The web browser stores the message in a text file. The message is then sent back to the web server each time the web browser requests for a page from the web server.

10. TCC may, for example, use cookies to identify users of the TCC website, and to compile data and/or statistics on TCC website usage.

(C) HOW TCC PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION

11. The internet is not a secure medium. However, we have put in place various security measures as set out in this policy. TCC assure all users that reasonable appropriate security safeguards ate in place to protect personal data against unauthorized access, misuse, disclosure, copying, use, alteration, accidental loss or theft, destruction or damage.

12. The TCC website is http (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol) over SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption which is highly secured. It provides the client to server end-to-end traffic where all information sent and/or received is encrypted.

13. SSL is used to provide an encrypted link between a point in one computer system to a point in another computer system, What this means is that the information flowing from these points is encrypted using symmetric algorithm. These points identify themselves using asymmetric (or public key) cryptography.

(D) UPDATING YOUR INFORMATION

14. If any of the information that you have provided to TCC changes, please let TCC know by sending the correct details by sending an e-mail to info@tcc.org.sg. TCC will respond to the user's request within a reasonable time and TCC does not charge a fee for providing or updating the information or data requested for.

15. TCC's mechanisms and process are in place to receive and address complaints or inquires about TCC's polices and procedures relating to the handling of personal data. Appropriate measures will be taken to amend polices and procedures if a complaint is found to be justified.

(E) YOUR CONSENT

16. By submitting your information, you consent to the use of that information as set out in this policy. If TCC change their privacy policy, they will, where possible, post the changes on this page, and may place notices on other pages in the TCC website, so that you may be aware of the information TCC collect and how it is used at all times. Any continued access and/or use of the TCC website and/or of the information, materials, products and/or services contained within and/or referred to in the TCC website will signify your acceptance of these changes.

17. Owing to the global nature of the Internet infrastructure, the information you provide may be transferred in transit to countries outside Singapore, that do not have similar protections regarding your date and its use as set out in this policy. However, TCC have taken the steps set out in paragraphs 10 to 12 above, to try and improve the security of your information. By submitting your information, you consent to these transfers.

18. TCC shall not be liable in any way whatever for any loss or damage direct or consequential arising from the disclosure of such personal information which are procured by mischief or unauthorized usage or through a breach of the security system by any third-party without any wilful default on the part of TCC its agents or employees.
